Fresh Air Friday is this week!! Can you come out and help??

Fresh Air Friday is this Friday, August 28th and we need your help. We need volunteers to help sell snacks & drinks to the students during the activity.

Volunteers are needed beginning at 12:45 with set-up until about 3:45pm. You can stay to help with the entire event or just part of it. I have included the break down of times so you can work around that if you need to.

6th grade : 1:21 – 1:45

7th grade : 2:12 – 2:35

8th grade : 3:01 – 3:25

If you are new to Tapp and don’t know what Fresh Air Friday, it is part of the “PBIS” – Positive Behavior Intervention & Supports program. Students who do not earn any discipline referrals during a 2 week period, earn a recess period. During that recess period, the Tapp PTSA will be selling snacks. Students can purchase the snacks with money (everything is priced at $1 or less) or they can use “paw trax” that they have earned from their teachers. Each paw trax is worth 25 cents.

With the new government Healthy Initiatives, there have been some changes to the food items that we can sell during Fresh Air Friday.

The items that we serve must fall in the guidelines that are Compliant items. To find out which items that are Compliant to the food guidelines, please use the following link to find snacks that we can sell in the school!  https://foodplanner.healthiergeneration.org/calculator/
