Tapp Clean up Day!!

At the beginning of the year, Mrs Samuels challenged her class to come up with a way to make Tapp Middle School better. They came to the conclusion that our school needed to be cleaned up. Our garden in the back needs mulching, raking and new plants planted. We also need raking done around the outside class room and the new trees that were planted last year need more mulch.

But with all of this that needs to be done, they will need lots of help.  Anything that you can do will be very much appreciated. You can sign up to bring items as well as come with your family and lend a hand.

If you have any ideas or suggestions, please email  Mrs Samuels: semeka.samuels@cobbk12.org

Many hands lighten the load!

Thank you for your time and energy!

Watch D.O.G.S Kickoff – Donuts for Dad’s ! October 13th at 8:30am

Many of you have been anxiously waiting for this program.  Some of you are wondering what a Watch D.O.GS program is.

Who are WatchDOGS and how does WATCH D.O.G.S. work?

WatchDOGS are fathers, grandfathers, uncles, and other father-figures who volunteer for at least one day each year at an official WATCH D.O.G.S. school.

The program is overseen by a “Top Dog” volunteer who partners with the school administrator to coordinate scheduling and identify opportunities for WatchDOGS to provide assistance at the school. WatchDOG dads and volunteers perform a variety of tasks during their volunteer day including monitoring the school entrance, assisting with unloading and loading of buses and cars, monitoring the lunch room, or helping in the classroom with a teacher’s guidance.

Mark this date on your calendar and please be in attendance to be trained in how this program will help out our community, students and staff.  If you are interested, please be prepared to sign up for a day to come to the school, as well as purchase a shirt on line to wear to identify who you are while on school grounds.
